Monroe Camera Club

 

History...

The Monroe Camera Club of Monroe, Michigan has been an established club for many years. We are a group of people with various degrees of photographic talents. Most of the members are nonprofessional who share a love of photography film or digital. Facilities..We meet at the East Rasinville Frenchtown United Methodist Church in the church basement community room located at 4010 N. Custer Road. Enter by back door off the parking lot. We usually start at 7:00 p.m. sharp. If there is a holiday conflict an alternate date will be announced. Our monthly meetings features our own photo competition in print. We have three divisions-Assignment, Open Division and Photo Art with 1st, 2nd, 3rd and honorable mention in each division. Each photo is critiqued verbally by club members. Each meeting includes includes refreshments and a lot of friendly conversation. So come and enjoy an evening of sociability and fun with photography. Members are always available to answer your photographic questions. Other Activities...Some of our projects include a Camera Scavenger Hunt, field trips and Summer and Winter Potlucks. Exibits-Members are offered a chance to exhibit their photographs at the Monroe Camera Club display and Community Room in the Frenchtown Square Mall. Dues are $20.00 per year. Who Should Join--Beginners as well as advanced or anyone with an interest in photography. Membership is open to those 16 years old and older.
